John Sayles

John Sayles is an independent director and writer. His large body of work includes the films Matewan, Eight Men Out, Lone Star, and Amigo, the short story collection The Anarchists’ Convention, and the novels Union Dues and A Moment in the Sun. Yellow Earth (from which “Stalking” is excerpted) will be published this fall.
